about

I've been making beats for a little more than half a decade now. That's a long time for someone at only 21. I feel as if I've come a long way - like a really, really long way - in the quality of my music, and I'm proud of that.

It's also disappointing, or at least it was for a while. Every artist has illusions of grandeur whether or not they're willing to admit that to you. Working for so long without the 'payoff' or attention I wanted has been frustrating at times. I've reached out to tons of artists who've ignored me. I've had dudes steal beats from me or not pay me for beats they've used. I've missed out on a lot of promising opportunities because I was lacking funds. It has seemed like things are working against me. I was focusing on the negativity because it was all I could see in my scope.

Over the past couple of months I decided that I was just looking at things incorrectly. I've always made music for myself first and foremost - and that's really all I should focus on. Making music is all that keeps me holding on to my sanity at times, and I'm finding myself more and more reliant on it as I get older and have more time to myself. I NEED to make music - I don't have a choice in the matter.

I'll do it forever, even if I'm the only one who listens to it. I don't need any sort of affirmation anymore. I think this is a process that anyone with longevity goes through...

To everyone who has been moving forward with me for the past couple of years, you are all truly important to me. There is a core group of people online who have been sticking with me and interacting with me constantly; so much so that I am starting to recognize names and faces. You all have my gratitude. The fact that you guys listen to everything I put out is seriously insane. Wow. Please don't stop.

I'm just gonna keep doing what I do and we'll see where it takes me.

Thanks to Bill on track 2. We're working on a full project out sometime this winter or early next year. This is the first public track from the record. Peep it. Let me know if it excites you.
